I've just moved to the Netherlands from the US. We decided it was ultimately easier and cheaper to refurnish our home from scratch, so we basically are living in an IKEA. We've yet to buy any furniture that isn't from there. It's kind of fun!
I'm so jealous. I would love the opportunity to decorate from scratch.
Have you bought a sofa or loveseat? Which one? I love Karlstad.
We used to have the Karlstad sofa and loveseat (in orange) when we were still living in the States. I loved it, although the legs ended up being a bit of a weak point and were on the verge of giving up.

It truly has been fun getting to start from scratch and has made us quite bold in color and style.
I have those lights, but I didn't get them from IKEA because there's isn't one in StL. I got mine at World Market. I wish almost daily for an IKEA here, as does pretty much everyone else in my demographic who lives here.
Seriously, I am with you. There were rumors a couple years ago that Ikea was looking to open a store in the county adjacent mine, but the rumors began and ended there.
If I ever moved back to SF, at least I'd have an Ikea right across the Bay Bridge from me. (How's that for a reason to move?)
